History
I started Respect Skincare in
Sydney, Australia back in 2003 primarily because I have
very sensitive skin and even though I grew up as a compulsive
tester in my father's pharmacy, I couldn’t find a body
cream anywhere that was all natural,
quickly absorbed, non-greasy
and lightly fragranced.
Product Development
In my search for a natural body creams, I was
staggered at how many so-called "natural" moisturisers actually
contained mineral
oil, a petrochemical not
too far removed from motor oil! Even the entirely
natural creams often contain high amounts of essential
oils, which are irritants and frankly overpowering.
Very interested in the
therapeutic value of oils and
butters, I began experimenting with
cream recipes based on
cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil and
apricot kernel oil, as well as active manuka honey
(medical honey), which is an amazing product used in
hospitals all around the world for its unprecedented anti-bacterial and rapid healing properties.
I trialled and tested Respect For Women Body
Cream
over three years on all skin
types which is why we think the cream is perfection in
a jar!
Our Human Rights Commitment

organisations that fight and defend human rights, such as Amnesty International.
