Heavenly Oat and Orange Face and Bodyscrub

This luscious oat and honey bodyscrub with added cinnamon and orange zing wakes up sleepy heads while you exfoliate, sloughing off dead skincells. Make this mixture up immediately before use and finish the scrub in one application as it won't keep.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons oatmeal 

4 tablespoons natural yoghurt (or Respect For Women Body Cream for extra moisturising)

1 tablespoon honey

Freshly grated zest of one orange

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon orange juice

3 drops orange essential oil (optional) 

Method

Combine the oatmeal, ground cinnamon and orange zest in a bowl, slowing adding the yoghurt to form a paste.  Melt the honey over a very low heat until runny (alternatively melt for a few seconds in the microwave) and combine. Add the orange juice and orange essential oil and mix well.  Place mixture in a plastic bowl or tupperware and off you go to the shower!

 

 

 

Oranges

Avocado and Lime Zinger

This will tighten and brighten your skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Avocado (pulp, no skin) - can use Papaya or Banana instead

1 egg white

Juice of half a lime

Method

Blend the ingredients to a smooth paste. Apply to your face and neck. Allow to dry 10-15 minutes. Wash it off for a clean, bright face.

Avocados

Green Tea Toner

Green tea is rich in antioxidants which fight free radicals that damage and age the skin. Lavender oil is an astringent and lemon oil is rejuvenating.

Ingredients

1/2 cup strong green tea made with mineral or distilled water

1 drop lavender essential oil

1 drop lemon essential oil

Method

Make the tea and allow to cool to room temperature. Add the essential oil drops. Apply with cotton wool to the face and rinse off with cold water.
